Hi, I’m Marci, a Mahjong instructor based in beautiful Austin, Texas. I specialize in teaching American Mahjong to players of all ages and backgrounds, from total beginners to those rediscovering the game after years away.

What started as a personal hobby during breast cancer treatment, quickly became a lifelong passion. Today, I help others experience the joy, connection and community that Mahjong offers. Whether you're looking to understand the rules, read the card with confidence, or just want a fun new way to connect with others, I'm here to help you learn at your own pace in a relaxed, supportive environment.

I offer personalized instruction across the Austin area, including in home lessons, community group events, corporate client or team building events, enrichment classes for schools, tournaments, private events, and so much more. My teaching style is warm, patient, and focused on making the game accessible, engaging, and most importantly fun.

Mahjong is more than a game. It’s a way to keep your mind sharp, make new friends, and enjoy meaningful moments around the table. I believe anyone can learn and everyone can benefit from the JOY it brings.

When I’m not teaching or playing Mahjong, I’m soaking up time with my wonderful family, my husband, our two active boys, and our lovable Bernedoodle, Ranger. We stay busy with sports, travel, and trying out new restaurants. We also love giving back by volunteering together in the community. Whether it’s supporting local causes or lending a hand at events, giving our time as a family is something we truly value.
