5 Soul Wine Co. & Mahj with Marci have teamed up to bring you this fun community building event! Open Play is a fun way to practice your skills and expand your Mahjong social circle!

Welcome to the Chaos!

Whether you're a seasoned player or a beginner still figuring out what a joker actually does, Hot Mess Mahjong Open Play is your no rules, all fun, Mahjong free for all.

There’s no format. No pressure. No Mahjong police.
This is play without walls, literally and figuratively. Bring your wildest house rules, stack up some tile towers, toss in extra jokers, blanks, or whatever your messy Mahjong heart desires. If it sounds slightly unhinged… that’s the point.

Expect laughs. Expect confusion. Expect someone to yell “That’s not how you play!”

Tiles may fly. Rules may bend. Fun is Non-Negotiable!

Your reservation includes two hours of play, a glass of wine, and one raffle ticket for your chance to win prizes. A complete Mahjong set up is provided: tiles, racks and mats. 

We will NOT be teaching a lesson.

Please bring your official 2025 NMJL card.

The reservation fee is non-refundable. You may move your reservation to another open play date if there is availability.
